Psychology MUSE
2024-2025 MUSE Mentee Application
Mentoring Undergraduate Students towards Excellence (MUSE) Program:
The MUSE program matches graduate student mentors in the psychology department with undergraduate student mentees who may be:
- Typically underrepresented (members of minoritized or historically marginalized groups)
- First-generation college students
- Unsure about how to navigate graduate school applications
The graduate student mentors help their undergraduates mentee(s) by assisting them in finding research labs and encouraging them to participate in undergraduate research opportunities (both in the department and in the wider university community).
Overall, the graduate student mentor will help their undergraduate mentee(s) navigate through the graduate school application process with important insight about the GRE, application materials, and graduate school interviewing process. Graduate mentors and undergraduate mentees will meet regularly either in person, via email, or via phone. Please note that MUSE is not a tutoring service for specific coursework.
Feel free to reach out to the MUSE Team with any questions or concerns via email at waynestatemuse@gmail.com.
