Towers Residential Suites at Wayne State University

Students registered to stay on campus will be staying in the Towers.  The majority of the rooms are suite style, containing four bedrooms, attached to a shared living space. Within the building is a café-style dining hall, a mini Barnes & Noble bookstore and multiple fitness areas. Also included is a private bath per suite, air conditioning, laundry facilities, and a staffed 24-hour reception desk with card access system. There are lounges on each floor. Televisions will be available for use in some of these common areas. Additional information regarding Towers Residential Suites may be found at www.housing.wayne.edu. Smoking and alcohol are not permitted inside Towers.                                                        

Drop Off/Pick Up
Parking on Anthony Wayne Drive is permitted for active loading and unloading in front of Salon X. To enter Towers, walk past Salon X and turn right onto a mall. The entrance to Towers is on the right.

Leon H. Atchison Hall at Wayne State University

(formerly called South Residence Hall)  Faculty and directors will have their own dorm room that includes two extra-long twin size beds, two desks and closets, a private bath, air conditioning, laundry facilities, and a staffed 24-hour reception desk with card access system. There are lounges on each floor. Televisions, microwaves and a refrigerator will be available for use in some of these common areas.  Additional information regarding Atchison Hall may be found at www.housing.wayne.edu. Smoking and alcohol are not permitted inside Atchison.

General Campus Lodging Information

Rooms will be assigned according to group and assignments will be received at on-site registration on August 5th.

A set of linens will be provided including: 1 Blanket; 1 Pillow; 1 Sheet set; 1 Bath Towel Set will be provided for each guest.  Additional linens may be purchased for a charge of $10.00.

Items to pack:
• Extra Linens/pillow and Extra bath towel/hand towel/washcloth (if desired)
• Travel alarm clock
• Toiletries; toothpaste
 

Keys and Conference cards
Guest will receive a room card.  Keys for individual bedrooms must be pre-arranged.  The room card gives access to the residence hall, dinning hall, and laundry facilities.  Cash must be loaded onto the cards in order to operate laundry machines.  There are desgnated machines to upload money to conference cards.  Money is NON-REFUNDABLE once it is on the conference card.  Therefore, limit the amount uploaded.  The fee for a lost room key is $150, a lost Conference card is $10, and room lockouts are $20 per instance.

Laundry
The residence facilities are equipped with laundry rooms.  Adding funds to the Conference Card will be necessary to operate washers and dryers.  Laundry detergent will be made available by conference staff.  To use the washers and dryers cash must be uploaded to the card, whis is not refundable.  Costs of the washers and dryers per load are $1.00 each.  There are machines in various buildings across campus for adding cash to your card.

Overnight guests must park in Parking Structure #2. This structure is open 24/7. The fee for overnight parking is $5.00 per night. This must be pre-arranged through your program sponsor.
