Eligibility for Services
The Higher Education Opportunities Committee (HEOC) - Talent Search Program serves the following:
- First generation college students
- Grades 6-12, between the ages of 12 and 18
- Students of Detroit Public Schools
- Citizens or nationals of the United States or meet the residency requirements for federal student financial assistance
- First generation college students or family income level governs participants' eligibility for program services. (Recipients of General Assistance, Family Independence Agency assistance, and Social Security automatically qualify.)
